"We tell ourselves stories in order to live."
I'm Lindsay Ulrich and I'm a communications specialist based in Toronto. I started working within educational publishing, where I started as a marketing assistant with Wiley Canada.
Since my time in house with Wiley, I ran a freelance business where I took on a variety of jobs. I've edited college textbooks and fiction manuscripts, proofread health websites, written mobile app copy, and launched a series of successful small business marketing campaigns.
In my current role at Invivo Communications, I work on the cutting edge of tech, creating and editing copy for AR and VR applications, interactive games, websites, and animations.
I excel at developing and shaping the written word to best reflect clear and engaging ideas and I strongly believe in maintaining focus on the end user of any written material—the reader.
I’m a graduate of Centennial College’s Book and Magazine Publishing program, have a B.A. in Anthropology and Visual Studies from the University of Toronto and have recently completed an Introduction to Project Management course through George Brown College. I'm a lifelong learner and am currently completing a certificate in Psychology through Ryerson University.
I also write for fellow writers. Solopreneurship is near and dear to my heart, and I love writing about careers, productivity, freelancing, and hacks for writers. As I continue revamping my site, my blog posts will be trending in that direction.
